The short version: MediCalc Pro does not store, collect, or transmit any medical data you enter into our calculators. All calculations run locally in your browser. We don't know what you calculated, and we never will.

Who we are

MediCalc Pro ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at medicalcpro.rxtoolspro.com. We provide free medical reference calculators and clinical decision support tools for healthcare professionals and informed individuals.

What data we collect

We collect minimal data to keep the site running. Specifically:

  • No medical data. Every calculation on this site runs entirely in your browser. The values you enter — weight, age, lab results, clinical scores — are never sent to our servers. We have no technical access to them.
  • Standard web analytics. We use anonymous, aggregated analytics (page views, device type, country) to understand which tools are most useful. This data cannot be linked to any individual. We do not use cookies for behavioural tracking.
  • Contact form submissions. If you contact us via our contact page, we receive your email address and message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only. These manage site preferences (such as dark mode) and are stored locally in your browser. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

If we serve third-party advertisements, those ad networks may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies. You can opt out of personalised advertising via your browser settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out tool.

Medical data and HIPAA

Because we never receive or store any patient data, MediCalc Pro is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. No protected health information (PHI) is transmitted to or stored by us. That said, you should still use clinical judgement about what you enter into web-based tools in a clinical environment, in line with your institution's policies.

Third-party services

We may use third-party services including:

  • Content delivery networks (CDN) to serve fonts and libraries (Google Fonts, jsDelivr, cdnjs). These services may log your IP address in accordance with their own privacy policies.
  • Advertising networks if display ads are shown. These operate under their own privacy frameworks and may use cookies.
  • Web analytics using privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics where possible.

Data retention

We don't store medical data because we never receive it. Contact form submissions are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, then deleted. Analytics data is aggregated and retained for up to 24 months to analyse usage trends.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including access to personal data we hold, correction, deletion, and the right to object to processing. Children

MediCalc Pro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our contact form, please contact us and we'll delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
